Jack has been trying to be a good big brother & subjecting Luke to some fairly brutal cuddles. He has also been pointing things out to Luke "look, baby brother, dump truck"

Took Jack to mainly music. Jack was ho-hum about the music except when I picked him up and flung him around and put out that he couldn't play the big guitar but he loved running around outside being a tank engine afterwards!

Jack copes very well with his new brother but does his new brother cope with Jack? Jack would cuddle him to death quite literally if given the chance. He is always bringing his brother tools and toy cars to play with. Unfortunately he struggles with being gentle and respecting baby brother's right to sleep in peace.

Jack has now watched all of the kids programmes Daniel gave us to death! He still asks for Maisy mouse all the time but it no longer keeps him 100% entrhalled for long enough for us to sneak an extra hour's sleep.

Jack is dead keen on books too. His favourite is Hairy MacLairy. Who would have thought that babies get into books so young huh? Although that 'from birth' rubbish - I don't think it really counts until they stop chewing on them and start looking at them. Still all that preaching meant we had them in the house once he did start to like them.

He's good with paper books. I can leave them around the floor and he'll play with them without ripping them - odd for such a ruffian!

Our little monster is crawling (commando style), getting up to stand, cruising (that means moving along furniture not hanging out in toilets for those without kids) and climbing!!! He nearly climbed into the bathtub the other day which is quite a feat since it's about chest height on him and he got his feet off the floor to about waist height - this from someone who can't jump. He's been out longer than he was in now!!!
