Did they return to Great Waldingfield and have a child Sarah Ann AYERS, c 17 Aug 1863, parents Henry and Mary AYERS of Powers Farm, Great Waldingfield. Henry described as a farmer in the parish records.
Was this the Henry AYERS farmer and landowner in Great Waldingfield in 1865? (Kelly's Directory of Suffolk 1865). Presumably a descendant was Harry Leslie AYERS, farmer in Great Waldingfield (Kelly's Directory of Suffolk 1937)
The 1861 census has Henry Ayres at Powers Farm in Great Waldingfield, Suffolk, head, unmarried, aged 69. b in Great Waldingfield. He was a farmer of 40 acres, emplying 2 men. He was alone with his 24b year-old servant Mary Harvey, an unmarried housekeeper, b in Brandiston, Suffolk
