Yesterday morning a spirited contest was commenced for the Paddington Prizes, bewteen a large number of members of the 36th Middlesex (Paddington) Rifle Volunteers.”
The article then lists competitors with their scores and this list includes Private Lussenden.

This newspaper carried a report of the annual regimental prize meeting of the 36th Middlesex or Paddington Volunteers. Sergeant Lussenden won third prize in the rifle shooting competition held at the ranges of the corps at Wormwood Scrubs.
