Misc. Notes
In 1901, Florrie Rowley was a 14 year old working in Dressmaking and living with her parents in Warrington, Shropshire. The census shows that she was born in Eardington, Shropshire. 33

Florrie a witness at the marriage of her brother Reginald.

Florrie Rowley was eccentric and exhibited more and more strange behaviours. She was considered very strange as she would only wear long black dresses at a time when they weren't fashionable, and evidently painted birds on her velvet curtains. (This seems to have been considered outrageous!!!).

During the depression her husband, who drove for Schillabeers Distillery, left her. Florrie was starving, & preferring to give her cat any morsel of food she had. 113

Her brother, Rex, was also struggling during the depression to keep his own wife and children. He couldn't afford to "keep" Florrie also. With reluctance he had her "committed" to an institution in Victoria, so she would at least be fed. Her niece Hilda Rowley visited her withher parents Rex and Kathleen, and always said it made her very sad to see her there. Presumably she died there. 113
